As Chief Executive Officer, Peter Farrow is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of Pharmastar. In addition to Pharmastar, he is also the CEO & General Manager of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire which serves 70,000 members in 44 counties, providing coverage through commercial policies and Wisconsin’s BadgerCare Managed Care program and also CEO of PersonifilRx, a long-term care pharmacy.
Farrow currently serves on the Board for the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans, Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund, and Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network. Mr. Farrow earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Marquette University.
Bob Tanner serves as Chief Operating Officer of PharmaStar. During his tenure, Tanner has guided PharmaStar to be the service leader in the Medicare PACE market.
Tanner also serves as Chief Financial Officer for Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Minnesota State University-Mankato and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a Master’s of Science in Applied Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Florida and a CPA and Wisconsin insurance license.
Luke Johnson serves as Clinical Pharmacy Manager. Johnson’s core responsibilities at Pharmastar include ensuring that appropriate clinical programs are designed, implemented, maintained and updated. He acts as a manager and coordinator of the clinical relationship with Pharmastar clients.
Johnson brings a vast knowledge of safe and effective medication use for patients. He has worked extensively with physicians, nurses, and other health care practitioners to ensure patient care. Johnson earned his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Wisconsin – Madison.
As Director of Business Development, Tammy Tarzynski is responsible for the growth and marketing initiatives of the PBM, overseeing all sales functions and developing strategic company growth plans. She draws on 26 years of health care experience – nearly 19 in the PBM industry.
Tarzynski holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University with a dual major in Biology and Psychology, and an emphasis in Pre-Medicine.
As the Director of Operations, Andrea Slowiak is responsible for group contracting, client reporting and client support. Slowiak also works to ensure compliance with all government required reporting. She has worked in the PBM industry for over 10 years.
